Network Security

From the server architectures and network monitoring to the continuous scan of industry and hacker sites for new vulnerabilities, the data center is built with a bunker-style mentality.

AppsTech customers access their systems through industry leading secured encrypted Virtual Private Network (VPN). In addition, our clients can choose between 2 firewall options: the Cisco PIX firewall and CheckPoint Firewall-I. Both offerings are configured in high-availability, fail-over clusters.

We also offer network intrusion detection services and 3rd party vulnerability assessments. The firewalls prevent any direct access to the database or the operating system. Operating system and database administration accounts are only accessible by highly qualified personnel. 

Network Bandwidth

 Network includes:

• Redundant OC12 and OC3 fiber feeds from local telecommunications providers (with OC12 and OC48 capability)
• Multiple Tier One Internet backbone providers
• Redundant core routers and switching hubs provides clients with the largest possible bandwidth coming out of their server. 

*Effective bandwidth measured at clients' site depends also on clients' local infrastructure and the bandwidth provided by clients' network carrier.

Hardware 

AppsTech offers its clients hardware that can not only meet their needs today but is powerful enough also to meet its requirements tomorrow. By providing clients with a completely separate server for its test environment, they can grow their business and upgrade to R11i without having to worry about increasing the size or number of the servers that AppsTech dedicates to them.
